Indian Navy UES Scheme for Engineers Notification June-2012 Online application

The Indian navy is forward to accept final year Engineering students in Indian Navy as Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officers in Technical / Executive Branches under University Entry Scheme (UES) for Final and Pre-final year Students Course Commencing - June -2013 and June-2014.

Age : 19 -24 years (Born amid 02-07-1989 to 01-07-1994 both dates inclusive) and 18  ½ -  23 ½ years (Born among 02-01-1990 to 01-01-1995 both dates inclusive)

Qualifications: Minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.75 CGPA overall grade on 10 point scale is required for any of the following mentioned posts

01.  Pilot (Only Men can apply): Any stream of BE/ B.Tech.

02.  Observer (Only Men can apply): Any stream of BE/ B.Tech.

03.  IT (Only Men can apply): BE/ B.Tech. Information Technology/ Computer Science Engineering/ Computer Engineering

04. Logistics (Works) (Both Men and Women can apply): BE/ B.Tech. in Civil/ Architecture

05. Engineering Branch (Only Men to apply) : Mechanical / Marine / Automobile/ Mechtronics/ Industrial and Production/ Metallurgy / Aeronautical/ Aerospace

06. Naval Architecture Cadre (Both Men and Women can apply) : Mechanical/ Civil/ Aeronautical/ Aero Space/ Metallurgy/ Naval Architecture

07. Electrical Branch  (Only Men to apply) : Electrical/ Electronics/ Tele Communication / Instrumentation / Instrumentation and Control / Electronics and Instrumentation / Electronics and Communication/ Power Engineering / Control System Engineering / Power Electronics

08. General Service (X) (Only Men can apply): BE/ B.Tech. in  Mechanical/ Marine/ Aeronautical/ Production/ Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology/ Control/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunications.

Physical Standards:

 Height : Minimum Male - 157 cms and Female - 152 cms with associated weight

Eye Sight - 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses and must not be color/night blind.

Starting date of submission of Online applications:  27-06-2012

Last Date for Online Applications: 16-07-2012.

Short Service Commission: SSC is granted for 10 years, extendable to 14 years.
